  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The Hyundai iPod cable does not seat into my 4S iPhone as well as the factory cable. In fact, it's hard to keep the Hyundai cable connected. Does anyone else have this problem?

I'm aware the preferred solution is to use bluetooth for the phone and a USB drive for music.

Do you have a case on the phone? I had to take my otter box case off of my iphone 4s because the hyundai cable would not fit with the case on. With the case off it fits fine.

Case on or off, makes no difference. The opening on my Apple brand case is large enough to accept the plug. The Hyundai cable just doesn't "latch" the way my Apple cable does.

I have the same issue on my 160 gig Classic iPod. The cable does not seem to have the little side "teeth" that hold the connection tight.

No issues with mine. Perhaps the teeth are just worn out and a new cable would fix the issue. It should be covered by warranty.

The cable and car are brand new, just bought yesterday.

Mine has been that way since new also.

The cable in my Genesis stays connected to my iPod, but then I leave it in the center console almost all the time. (I add and remove tracks wirelessly from my home computer.)
