  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I used the Ipod cable from my 2010 genny. The 2015 (tech) is recognizing that I've attached a device, but then nothing, just says a device has been attached.
(or am I not waiting long enough for it to take in the content) although my previous genny would start playing almost immediately.

Cable worked fine 2 days ago before I traded the old car in.

Any ideas?

thanks

me again,

I figured it out. The ipod plays with a regular apple usb cord, doesn't need the extra input to aux (as with the old cord)

Silly? question: My ipod went to Apple Heaven so I can't check, but many iPods have bluetooth like iPhones, in which case you can turn bluetooth on and I *believe* it will treat your iPod as a form of media and require no cable (except for charging) and you can then use the car's media buttons to play its contents. Have you tried this?

Yes, mine is blue tooth, but my wife's phone is bluetoothed to the car for the music she prefers. In that only one device can be paired at a time, it's easier to keep my music on the ipod and hard wire it.
But thanks for the suggestion:)
