  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm shopping for a used Genesis and from reading the forum, it appears there are two issues using an iPod via USB on the Premium/Tech cars: 1) no way to locate an artist except manually scrolling through page after page, and 2) issues with shuffle play not working correctly.

I've gathered from reviews online that the infotainment system was upgraded for 2013 MY. I found a post here from a 2013 owner complaining about the shuffle issue, so I guess that's still not fixed, but anyone know if the 2013 offers better song location functionality? Any other improvements relative to USB iPod usage?

Well, I think I answered my own question. I found the 2012 and 2013 DIS manuals on here for download and it looks like the 2013 has much nicer looking screens and some nice new physical buttons near the optical disc slot, but no change in the iPod searching functionality documented. Boo.
