Is a catch can worth putting on?

Got a 2016 Ultimate 3.8 AWD. V6. Been reading about GDI carbon build up on valves. Has anyone put a catch can on a late model 3.8? Does it get much oil? Currently have 40,000 miles on it. Warranty worries also if I have it on and something breaks.

why would we worry about a engine that Hyundai warranties till 10k / 10 year.

My personal opinion is no. I would just clean my engine around 100k miles by removing the intake manifold and be done with it. However, I guess a catch can could not hurt.

I had a catch can on my Sonata and I was amazed on how much oil and gunk it collected in a short time. I wanted to put it on the Genesis but the one I have is large and couldn't find a decent spot to mount it on the Genesis. If someone has installed a small one on their Genesis please post up what brand and where you mounted it as I would do it again. As for the warranty issue I had mine on the Sonata both time the engine blew and the only comments my dealer had was that a catch can is a good idea. You really can't mess up anything with installing one except for a vacuum loss if you don't use proper tubing or have a loose clamp and that is easily noticed and corrected.
