  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Is it worth it?

After serious thinking, I am thinking of keeping my car until I have it completely paid off (as I'm thinking about the future involving a new house, etc). Question is, I want to get the cooled seats for the driver side as it is very hot here in Florida.

How much do you think would it cost for it to be added? I have heated seats already. I've been looking at the actual equipment and it said like 400-600 dollars for the seat with the cool function, but I wonder if that can just be added on to my heated seat now?

It would probably be cheaper just to replace the unit instead of trying to retrofit the cooling onto it.

IMHO, it is totally worth it. When it gets over 100*F here, the seats do a great job of keeping my junk and back cool.

I love it!!

Parts for the seat are rather cheep. Pick up the dash console from Ebay and you should be able to do something DIY for under $500.

Dominic, I understand where you're coming from, particularly from a practicality/frugality perspective. Having said that, when the 2014s come out, with the (hopeful) upgrades in electronics, we're all going to be drooling, and many of us will be making the switch. I'm not saying you (or I, for that matter) are one of those people, but by the same token, I wouldn't be surprised if you did :-).

Ah yes, the impetuousness of youth.

Lol, you may be right. However, the only way I would switch is if I get my monthly payment less then what I'm paying now ($690.00) and I may go about leasing this time as well if that's the case.
