  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Is my car "new"?

The assistant had a portable Lo-Jack in her hand for this demonstration. She could activate it, as the rep told us, and his van had the receiver equipment. This was not a normal Lo-Jack operating procedure. Nonetheless all in the van were impressed and the point was to sell Lo-jack and here I am selling Genesis and Connected Services car finder app and Blue Link shut down procedures. :sneaky:

I tried, but was DENIED. They said the contract was signed and sent it was a done deal.

Lesson learned, really really read what you are signing. I think they make it take so long so you are so sick of being there you'll do anything to get the hell out.

I could have fought harder, but it's not the hill I wanna die on, and - I love my car. I will let this go and learn my lesson.

Regardless I’d still leave a negative review about them installing these on all their cars. It’s deceptive, unethical and unnecessary. Others should be informed and warned.

I understand you want to be done with this but these are the biggest slime balls I’ve heard of in a long long time. They will keep doing it if there are no consequences

I agree with you there. It's a scammy thing to do. They don't point out on the "registration" paper that it's $599, but it is listed in a tiny font in the middle of a giant page with a wall of text. Bleah. I got took.

So who were these dealers so we know not to go there.
