  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

For two years have been using the K&N in my Pilot and Accord while experiencing improved exceleration,
That's great, but really no proof of how much clean air the engine is getting over time.
I was considering putting the K&N in my Genny but came across this read while researching another topic.

It read "Debunking The Myth - OEM Is Better" it provides some test results of
various Air Filters, the link is http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/kn-vs-oem-filter.html

I'm new but now clue-less, it's common knowlege that trash in = trash out.
But what will be the real cost in the long run?
I'd like to know your thoughts after reading the ref. article.

What are you trying to achieve by using a K&N filter? Are you concerned about squeezing the absolute maximum horsepower out of your engine at the possible expense of allowing more dirt in?

That wasn't the initial intent, although there are no apparent issues with the Hondas
I will be going back to the OEMs. This is not a shocker as there are
endless automotive products sold that claim to perform something while
creating some other undesired effect, like the gas, oil, tires, and car products that
you've purchased just operate your ride.
