  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So I’ve recently noticed on the corner of my screen that there is a sort of air pocket in it. There isn’t any problems with the screen randomly pressing anything, but I don’t want to reach that point. Is this covered under the manufacturer warranty or anything? It’s a 2020 G70, and barely hitting 20k miles. I got the car at just under 2k miles, so this wasn’t a prior issue.

Yes it is. My 2019 did the EXACT same thing and my local Genesis dealership replaced it for free a few months ago. It took them 3 weeks to get the part in and about 2 hours to replace it.

It is a commonly-known de-lamination defect with our screens.

Sweet! Thank you for the info 🙏

I'm actually happy that this is happening to my 2019 G70 screen now because the dealer was not able to reproduce the "ghost touches" that the screen has been having for a year. This is now a visual issue that cannot be missed/ignored. If they ever get recall parts in ("risk of engine fire" issues), I hope to have the screen replaced as at the same time.
