ISG Never Activating

What’s up everybody! Just got a ‘21 2.0T with 16k on it. Love this car! I’m running into an issue where the ISG doesn’t really activate, assuming because the conditions aren’t meant. But the icon is orange whenever I stop and the button is lit up. It only occasionally activates. Any experience ? TIA!

Have you watched this? I miss having this feature from my Prius but the comments on this video show people aren't that fond of it. I believe it only comes with certain packages.

My 2023 2.0T SP doesn't have that crap, and I'm super happy about it. I'd be surprised if older ones had it, but maybe they did.

Battery is likely not sufficiently charged. Check it out. Charge it up, or replace it.

Outside chance... but maybe previous owner did a mod to disable ISG. A lot of folks do exactly that. Our G70 is the 6MT so thankfully no ISG, but on our Stingers I've had to add a little circuitry to deactivate ISG upon every ignition ON switch.

NOT having ISG on the 2024 G70 was a major selling point for me. All the German models have it and its painful. Audi was especially jarring. Tip some of my friends do to disable it is wedge a guitar pick in to leave the OFF button pressed. Seems to work.
