If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello Everybody,
My back up camera has suddenly stopped working in my 2015 Genesis and I am getting blue screen on the head unit. So far my dealership was unable to resolve the problem after replacing he camera and related electronic module in the head unit. Has anybody else experienced similar issue?

Thank you

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Did you have any spills (water, coffee, etc.) around the console lately?

Turned out to be faulty wiring in the main harness. Took them a while to single out the wire and put everything back together.

All's well that ends well! Thank you for the update!

I just got the blue screen this morning. Didn't do anything different, it just popped up.

After some digging, the warranty specifies the 3/36k for the following:

- Radio, Tape Deck, CD/DVD Player, Navigational system, Bluetooth

I would not consider the reverse camera part of the "tape deck". The lines are still there and they move with the steering wheel as well. Have any of you guys had this issue or worked with a stealership to get it resolved? Slamming the trunk shut did nothing.

Thanks in advance. Car goes in the 13th.

Is everything else working? If so. good chance it is the camera. I had one go bad on a Sonata. If not excepted, should be covered. It does us the same head unit though.

Everything else works. Zero issues besides the camera. I'll post a video once I condense it.

Unable to attach a video. I talked with Customer Care at Hyundai and they said it "could" be under the 5/60k warranty. She sounded hesitant but she checked with her supervisor and was leaning towards yes. I won't get my hopes up but we'll find out soon.

Car is in the shop. Got an Outlander Sport for the time being (Gross). As I drive these entry-level cars, I thank myself every time for buyin gthe Genesis. Even though it's been in the shop more than I'd like, the issues are being taken care of under warranty. Also, it keeps miles off of Pearl. It's a win-lose situation but it is better than the alternative..

it may be the wiring harness in the passenger side of the trunk. known issue and well documented diy.

Thank you, I wish I knew how. How much do that kind of work cost generally at the dealership?

Hi Blanca,

I'm putting my car in the shop with dealership for experiencing the same issue. Did they indicate how much the repairs cost if was out of warranty?

Having the same issue with my 2015 Genesis. Dealer checked the wiring in the Trunk loor Wiring TSB 20-BE-007H, Replaced the Backup Camera and Perking Sensor module.

They have had it for over a month and my patience is running out.
