  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Have had my car posted for sale for about a couple of weeks now on cars.com, but forget to let you folks know (should be easy to find as I think I may be one of the few, if not the only private seller of a V8). Ping me if anyone who trolls around here is interested. It's clean w/low miles. Why am I getting out? Going back to Lexus after getting a sweet deal on a GS.

I'd be willing to shave a little off of the asking price for members of this forum! ;)

You'll be sorry! --- I own both cars. --- Genesis is better car in every way. Try getting something in the trunk of the GS. --- Oh, you'll get sick of the rattles in short order. I was a Lexus Guy as my 99 GS was flawless. Not so, with my 07 GS.....I won't be back to Lexus.

Cut-Throat,
I make decisions every day, some good, some not so. If this is a bad one, I'll just jump right back out there and right the ship. Thanks for the feedback.

When the hell is Lexus going to redesign the GS?? The current model looks like it's from the mid 90's. Loved it, but my R/C car has a bigger rear seat also. You should have both cars:cool:

LOL. They say a refresh is coming in then next year or so. Maybe model year 2013. They only seem to tweak the grill, headlights, and minor mods to the interior to try and change the look. But nothing major in years. Since my wife and I don't have children and rarely tote anyone around, we have no real need for a large back seat and tons of trunk space. The truck if for hauling!

And it looks like I will have both cars at least for a little while. I still have the Genesis and will pick up the Lexus tomorrow.

Lexus needs to refresh alot of their line (IMO). The RX is ugly and I can't believe anyone would buy their LX? (large suv). Lexus vehicles used to be at the top-now....? I bought the LS400 back in '92-before I had kids- and loved it. But now-it seems some people buy it for the name. I hope I didn't offend anyone.

No offense here . . . . . some changes are needed and yes the Lexus brand has been tarnished some over the last few years. I have enjoyed my Genesis. But I go through a car every three years or so. So it is time. I have always been a fan of the GS, but couldn't buy one for one reason or another. Now I have an opportunity and I am going for it. In another three years, if life continues to be good to me, the plan is to maybe come back to Hyundai for the Equus or maybe even another Genesis. We'll see.

Lexi are still nice cars. Their dealerships tend to be top notch too (in stark comparison to Hyundai), so I can't fault anybody for buying one if they have the money. If I had the cash the IS-F would definitely be considered!
