  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Jalopnik trolls College Park, MD Hyundai dealership....bizarre exchange

It's hard to go into a dealership without expecting to get screwed. I checked, double-checked, and triple-checked every number, every option, every word on every document when I bought my R Spec.

I went to a reputable dealer... and I still mistrusted them! Turns out they "installed" fabric guard and undercoating on my car. I didn't pay for either one.

If you confront a dealer with these types of practices, they say, "we have to make money somehow - the internet has completely wiped out our profits!"

That's no excuse for robbing someone blind. If you can't make money honestly in that industry, find another industry.

Ethics are quickly evaporating in our society.

It was refreshing that the dealer I bought from had zero add-ons to the factory sticker. Didn't try to charge for the trunk mat, net or ipod cable.

I had been looking at a g37 at the same time. Every car in the Infiniti lot had $250 for nitrogen added to the sticker. It was a factor in continuing my search, even though the salesman had agreed to take it off. Too bad for him that I test drove a genesis the following week.

Damn G37 seats are just too narrow and uncomfortable.
