  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello everybody, I have been reading this forum with great interest for the past few months. Went to a SoCal dealer with my wife yesterday wanting to buy a v6 with the premium package. We instead came out with a gorgeous 2010 4.6 with only 16,000 miles! It looks and drive like it is brand new. We traded our 2007 Honda civic and ended up forking out only 19k! I have a question regarding the extended warranty. I was initially offered a 10 y/100,000 miles contract for $2,495 and then they offered it ti me for $1,467. The finance guy said it was a good deal especially to cover all the NAV/electronic that is very expensive to fix. I am also aware of the 36 months coverage for electronic. Have there been a lot of issues with the NAVI /electronic on these cars? The car won't be driven more than 10k a year. Is it worth it to buy this insurance to keep this car covered until May 2020? Thanks ahead for your input.

Yes if you put low mles per year on the car. I did not buy the extended warranty because we put about 40,000 miles a year on a car, so in less than 3 years nothing will or woild be covered. However, you could have 8 to 10 years for 1400+.Purchased ours 9-20-2010 and now have just under 37,000 miles on it. It is a great car. No electronic/nav/sound system problems.

the extended warranty seems like a good deal if it is the Hyundai Platinum coverage.
congratulations on your new ride!

Quite a step up from that Civic isn't it? ;)
