Just got my 4.6 .. Cruise already dead

So I just got my Sapphire Blue 2010 4.6 (with Tech) on Friday night.

One owner, 27K miles.

Cruise control worked Friday night .. has not worked since. I can turn it on and the green 'Cruise' lights up on the dash, but it will not set a speed.

It's under full warranty so I am not that concerned .. just kind of a bummer.

Everything else is awesome. Love the power .. LOVE the audio.

It has almost new Dunlop SP 5000 tires which are OK. When they wear out I will be looking at new 19" wheels and some stickier rubber. No real snow here in GA so I don't need all season.

Any opinions on the service department at Rick Case Hyundai in Roswell?

Just remember if you do take the Dunflops out in the snow: you're risking your life.
But I agree that they were great in rain or dry!

This may be the problem. The Cruise will not work with the ESC set to off. I hope this fixes it. It happened to me, before with my 03 M45.

I did turn the ESC off for a minute the first night, but then turned it back on. I will cycle it a few times and see if that makes a difference.

I agree with RONCEE73 about the Cruise Control and shutting down the ESC. If you turn off your ESC the cruise control will not work.

So tonight I tried turning off the ESC and setting the cruise. I got a message on the dash display that ACC was not in the proper mode (or something like that). So that tells me that the computer is reading the 'SET' button on the dash, but not setting the cruise speed.

I flipped ESC on and off a few times and it did not help. It's broken

And today the cruise worked fine. Turned it on just to test and sure enough, it locked in a speed and the ACC worked perfectly.

The car was pretty cold this morning when I tried it so I will continue to test it and see if temperature has anything to do with the issue.

Hopefully I can figure out a pattern. I would hate to take it to the dealer only for it to work correctly

As recommended in other posts, see if there is a way to video it. Nothing worse than hearing those 5 words. "We can't duplicate the problem".
