  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Model Type
Genesis G70
Just picked up a G70 3.3T red exterior and brown interior.
This thing is a beast and loving the luxury features.

I started noticing water leaks... quite a lot more than usual that I have seen in other cars. Everyone in the neighborhood is going to notice a new kid is in the block.
The car parks next to my parking spot is a M340i(!!!) I don't want to look bad leaking things... I mean it's a damn brand new car.
I might take it back to the dealership to have them to take a look at it but... has anyone ever experienced this?
I know it's still pretty warm here but I shouldn't see a puddle.

Could it be the AC dripping out the condensation?

Congrats on the new buy!

Thanks! this thing is crazy. Just a little concerned for extra amount of AC condensation.

Can't tell where you are by your profile, but try turning off the AC compressor and see if it stops. It's likely just condensation.

Genesis Service Request:
Customer states too much water drips from A/C evaporator drain tube.

Mechanic: Ummmm, lol what?

Of course you should see a puddle. Every car I ever had with AC left a puddle since condensation has to go someplace. Laws of physics/dew point. Where would the water go if not drained? You don't want it sitting and getting moldy.
I would only worry if no puddle on a humid day. You want that drain tube to work freely.
More than the M340? Maybe you have a better AC.

It's warm and humid in Dallas today, when I got out of my car half hour ago, there was a line of water on the driveway where I pulled in. At that rate is probably producing a cup of condensation water every 2-3 minutes.

Puddles are the norm if you're running the AC in pretty much any car. In the summer here I look forward to getting home and parking for a bit, then backing out into the driveway so I can get a float and hang out in the puddle on the garage floor.
