  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just Test Drove 2 2015 Genesis 3.8 Sedans. Please give thoughts.

I've had two 3.8 Genesis and they are quiet. The growl you heard may have been a hacked exhaust. It also may have been driven hard to make it growl. This may actually be the better of the two.
If one wants engine/exhaust growl, I'd suggest getting a mustang or Challenger (or a Harley!). There's something about modifying a luxury sedan into something of a "Look at me, Hear me roar down the street" vehicle that I find ironic, considering the efforts the manufacturer put into isolating the cabin.

Just went on a 2000 mile road trip. 2015 3.8 Tech rwd.
I was impressed with the gas mileage I was getting with my wife and I sharing the driving. 70+ most of the time
Getting 28.5 on the trip computer. Then on the last leg we filled up and my wife drove the last leg home.
About 250 miles. Looked at the trip computer again and was shocked. 31.5 mpg! She was doing 76 with cruise and mostly flat terrain except a stretch (20 miles) over the mountains in central VA.
Never verified it with a manual calculation.
