  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just thought to share it with you guys.

Yep. Here is probably the #1 supplier of map data to navigation systems like ours. The other common suppliers are TeleAtlas (TomTom) and Google.

Navteq/Here used to supply the map data to BMW, and then BMW switched to TeleAtlas data around 2008 or 2009. That royally sucked and totally degraded my nav system. We are lucky to have Here in our nav systems.

I didn't know that; thanks for sharing! Related to that, it seems that whatever source that provides the speed-limit data in the HUD is probably the same source that provides the speed limit data for Escort Live. Both tend to not-infrequently be too high by 5mph in the same places.

Yep, Here is also the map data supplier for Escort Live. Here supplies Garmin's data as well-- so if you have a Garmin, the speed limits should sync between all three (your car, your Garmin, and your RD).
