K&N Filter?

Has anyone fitted a high flow air filter to their Genesis yet?

Does a part number from say K&N or Fram even exist currently?

This should increase horse power by up to 10HP for ther V6. Could we actually get the V6 to 300HP ?

Not sure if it affects the warranty though. With most other manufacturers such a change does not affect the warranty.

Speculation on my part, but maybe the K&N filter for the Veracruz with the 3.8L V6 works for the Genesis with the 3.8L V6. I have yet to find one for the Genesis itself. I did find this one.

I'm wrong. K&N have yet to release the air filter for the Genesis 3.8L according to their website.

Likely a case for the Manguson moss warranty act. Or another conusmer level warranty law .... I wouldn't worry about a dealership giving you crap. However, make sure they don't try to steal it. That has happened to me before.

In regards to a real world 10 hp performance difference. It's not 100% on every car they make a K & N filter for. Some, yes... But this is my opinion...

Real world performance gains for "high performance" filters and exhaust systems don't live up to the manufactuer's claim - most of the time.
