  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I want two fobs but im not paying $800 and im not buying a fob from the local locksmith because i want an oem key.

i recently came across these services on ebay at sell unlocked oem hyundai key fobs and i have seen services where you can mail them a fob locked to another car and they will reset it for u so u can get it programmed.

so, I have two questions:

1. Has anyone done this before

2. i have a 2010 3.8 so the (fob) parts number that will work with my car are 95440-3M100, 3M210, 3M220, etc. but im told these unlocked 95440-3Q000 fobs (2011-14 Sonata) and some others work too.

im skeptical, but willing to try. any insight?

once (the same type) hyundai keys are reset are they basically interchangeable?

heres an example of what im talking about:
