  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My key fob opens my trunk when I do not want it exposing all my stuff to be stolen. I currently have wrapped it in a old cloth face mask, which helps but I need a bullet proof solution. Ideas?

Thank you!

Have you tried adding a cover over the smart key? It's not nearly 100%, but it helps.

At work the fob sat on my desk. At home it sits on the kitchen counter. Has been 100% reliable to not open anything.

Tight pants.

I use this one. It requires a bit more pressure to activate any button which eliminates accidental alarm or trunk, though my purpose was to protect the fob itself incase of impact and also appearance.

I'll check it out!

Not "bulletproof" as you requested. Better, yes.

BTW, wearing cargo pants helps too. Much less likely to pinch on the contents inside.
