  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I took apart my key fob to replace a low battery and now the fob does not work at all. The red light does not light up. I've tried 10 different batteries, including the one I took out that was "low." Anybody know what might be going on? Thought maybe it wasn't making proper contact, but literally all I did was take it apart, like normal, new battery, put it back together.

At least one person has put the battery in upside down. Other than that I've not really looked at what is inside.

Battery is not upside down. Even took it to the dealer and they replaced it with a new battery, still does not work.

Is there any chance that you had an ESD event while replacing the battery?

The answers here have not been very helpful. I replaced my keyfob battery. Car starts, panic button works, but the other 3 buttons don't work anymore. How do I fix this?
