  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Detroit Auto show just put out the Kia Stinger. The V6 option is a twin Turbo from the G90.
Larger than a C-Class and A4.......I wonder if this will also become the G70 (with a different front end)

I think so. I was a bit surprised at some of the specs, I think they said it is 190" long and about 3,900lbs. if so it is not that much smaller than the G80. I'm hoping the G70 lops some of that off so it is a bit more compact. Looks nice though, good idea to do a 2.0 4 cylinder as a base engine.

Let's hope so. The Stinger GT looks really good, even though I'm not a fan of the new Tiger shark nose, which IMO looks ugly as h3ll on the new Optima. The hatchback/fastback design suits this car well, almost like a 6-series Gran Coupe style.

From the G70 spy shots, the design doesn't look as dramatic, but the powertrain and vehicle architecture are likely the same. It will be a tough decision between the G70 and Stinger GT when my Genesis (2016) lease is up.

Per plan, Hyundai/Genesis will feature more "organic" lines while KIA will be more dramatic/angular.

We will choose between Stinger and G70,leaning toward the Stinger but we will wait until we see both.

The G70 is a bit smaller than the Stinger and Hyundai has stated that it will be more sport-oriented (the Stinger being larger and more grand tourer oriented); aside from greater tossability, should take a couple of ticks off the 0-60 time.

Here's an interesting R&D interview of automotive legend Bob Lutz giving his thoughts on the Stinger.
