The car beat the likes of the Mazda CX-30 and the Mazda 3. The car has gone through a long screening process which started at the 2019 New York Motor Show.

Think the new G80 has a real shot at the title for 2021.

There has to be some irony to winning "World Car of the Year" when the Telluride isn't sold anywhere outside of North America. I would have expected the Palisade.
