Laminated glass

I checked on my 2012 V6 that only the windshield and front door wide windows have laminated glass (an ear logo). On a KDM forum, it seems that both front and rear doors are equipped with the same laminated glass. Can any 08-11 or 12 V8/R Spec owners confirm this?

If my observations are right, it explains the different targeted buyers in those two markets. ppl who relax on the back seat vs. the driver (or may we call it chauffeur).

As far as I know the North American "standard" for most cars is a Laminated Front Windshield only. The Genesis also has Laminated side windows because I believe they have the same acoustic layer as the windshield to reduce interior noise. I assume the other windows are 'Safety Glass'.

In Europe and probably Asia, Laminated Glass is commonly used all around as it provides greater security against 'smash & grab' robbery or car-jacking. I guess our crime level hasn't yet got bad enough to justify Laminated glass all around here yet.
