  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2015 v6 Tech. Lane departure warning has worked great so far... until today. When I press the button to turn it on and off, the button light goes on and off like you'd expect but the system does not turn on. The center stack always shows it as OFF, no feedback, no warning.

Limited time to troubleshoot today with work being cray so I figure I would try here real quick.

Record it happening if you can (in case it's intermittent and the dealer "cannot reproduce"). Then off to the dealer.

Something to make you LOL for the day...

It turns out I'm an idiot. The button (with the light on it) is for blindspot monitoring. The correct button, just above that one, is for Lane Departure warning. Priceless... :D

All's well that ends well! :p

Wasn't, thanks for the update. I thought we might have a new glitch to watch for.

Don't feel alone in the button confusion, I did the same thing with the Auto Hold button (Boring story, but the point is that I confused buttons and functionality when I first got the car.)

W A S N T - I hate autocorrect. It is invoked after edits and as part of the posting process, apparently.

You win an apostrophe in your screen name.

I had a similar problem and got a warning - lane departure hepatic feedback -
Hyundai tech cleared code as there was no apparent problem found.
He did however find 2 bent rims ( front and rear driver side )
Car has less than 2000 miles on it and never ever hit a pot hole.
Took delivery after the winter storms ended.
Wheels were bent on or prior to delivery.
Now fighting with a lying dealer and Hyundai Genesis/Equis Customer Care who can't get their act together.

I have a question on this item. I keep the Lane Departure System in the on position at all times. Today (and once last week) I started the car and the system was off. I had not turned it off nor did my wife. Any others experienced this?

This has not happened to me, I turned it on on day 1 and it is still on today (~3 months)

Most all of my "button issues" are due to my dog walking back and forth between my wife and I which has resulted in us being more aware of the buttons use and application.

Humm. None of these scenarios apply to my experience, however...thanks for the input.
