  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

When I get in my car after it's been sitting overnight, I get a distinct "leaking rad smell". I'm basing my description on my memory of the "old days" when I couldn't afford a decent car and there was always something wrong with what I was driving:((

It goes away within a few minutes, and doesn't "smell" again until I leave the car overnight. I don't notice it if I park somewhere and then get into the car after an hour or two.

I mentioned it to the dealer and they said they looked but couldn't find any leaks.

Anyone got an idea or similar situation?

Thanks

You mean like fluid or do you mean mildew? The latter is (unfortunately) not uncommon in a humid climate, the former is not normal.

No, that is not normal. Off to service.
