  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

After ten months of ownership, even now, I learn new things. If memory serves me correct, someone MAY have mentioned the following way back months ago, so if this is old news, I'm sorry.

My car was locked, so I unlocked it with the door button. Did not open the door right away. After a few seconds, door locked by itself. OK, I tried it again, but using the key fob. Unlocked the door, but did not open door. After 25 or 30 seconds, the door locked itself.

Good safety feature.

I believe the trunk work the same way. If you unlock the trunk with the fob and don't open it, it will lock itself up after a little while.

My Elantra also had this feature. It's pretty sweet:)

Not sure about this one. The trunk actually pops open when the fob or internal switch is activated. The trunk lid certainly won't close on it's own once it pops open. That's actually a complaint of many. Folks want the motorized trunk opening and closing. Probably not an option on a car at this price point.
