  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Excited about my 4.6 Tau Black Noir Pearl/saddle ... looking for the best leather cleaner and conditioner forthe interior. Any suggestions? As a side note ... my brother-in-law has a boxter ... guess who is envious and in the dust?

I use Lexol leather cleaner followed by Lexol leather conditioner.
I've been using it forever and NEVER had any problems.

I have had good results with good old-fashioned saddle soap for cleaning leather. I use it on the dash, door panels, and non-perforated parts of the seat.

Lexol gets my vote. I have used it for years also.

Yes this is a good combination, but the Lexol Cleaner is too strong for this type of new leather, so either dilute it, or use a water based general purpose cleaner like Meguiars Quick Interior detailer or equivalent.
Honestly, on a new car, unless the leather is soiled, you will do fine using a damp cloth with water. Wait till it dries. Then apply the Lexol Conditioner with a microfiber sponge, which I really like. Wait 5mins, then remove the excess with a cloth. Done.

Checked what I have in my stash. Found I have two.
1. One is Meguiars. Very thick cream colored stuff.
2. Second is Motorcraft cleaner. Thinner stuff, very pale white.
Both work fine.

I use Zaino leather conditioner and it is very good so far. It gives your car that new leather smell and contains no silicon. I couldn't find it in the local stores so I ordered it online at the Zaino web site.

Absolutely agree that on anew car a damp cloth with water will suffice and then apply the conditioner of your choice.
