  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What are most using & find to be a GREAT Leather treatment for there Genesis?? We didn't like that leather armor all wipes..

303 Aerospace or Zaino Leather in a Bottle

I use Lexol leather cleaner, and then Lexol leather conditioner. You can get it at any auto parts or discount store (Walmart, etc). The conditioner is more important if you already have a decent cleaner.

+1

I worked at a upholstery shop and find this to be the best I have ever used. Biokleen.com/vinyl-conditioner I spoke to the chemist two weeks ago as the leather in the new 2014 genesis is drying out ( cheap leather ) I have applied one application so far and it has softened the leather greatly. The chemist said two to three applications everyother week will restore to new soft and supple again. I have used on a cloth topside vinyl underside tonue cover that would not stretch and fit my truck bed. Put two applications on with in a half hour of the first then installed and the cover stretched like it was new again. Plus it has a SPF 70 uv protectant. The stuff is truly amazing. They have used it on 60+ year old leather and got the same results. :D:D

Another +1 for Lexol. They also have quick wipes that can remove dirt and conditions the leather.

i found the armor all and mequires leather wipes leave a residue on the leather. Avoid these on genesis leather

Howdy, y'all.... I just used Leather Honey, first on my bride's ( together 41 + years ) 3 Series BMW. Used their cleaner first, applied the " Honey " and I have to tell y'all...this is remarkable stuff. I then applied it to my chair. This stuff is outstanding. I have used - Lexol, Zaino, Maguires, etc. All are fine. Nothing has produced the results I have gotten from Leather Honey. Take a look.

...I will apply it to my Genesis when I get it back from the body shop....hit in the rear end, not drivable.....looking forward to getting my car back. Not even 7,000 miles.....sad...

Leather Honey....go to www.leatherhoney.com

Not a paid spokesman for Leather Honey, just a satisfied client...

Everything I've read about leather honey was negative as it leaves on heck of a residue on any leather. Never used it, but, with so many people talking down about it, I'll use something a little more highly recommended. Congratulations if you got it working for you.

To defend this brand with our experience. On English Saddles and tack, it works great. No one wants residue to linger on saddles to sit on or tack to rub against a horse. Once it soaks in, it works VERY well.. Does not attract dust or grime. It does wonders on leather. This gets me thinking to have the girls grab some out of their tack trunk to use on the 2012. See how it works. It worked great when they used it on the King Ranch leather on the Super Duty. It has saddle like hyde on it. Different than the thin "painted" perforated leather of the Genny

Leather on the Genny is painted?! Where did you come up with that?
I'm not attacking anybody's use of Leather Honey. As stated, I've never used it, just going by tons of reviews of how much residue is left behind and how tacky it is. Maybe everyone is using it wrong, there are just too many options available to take that kind of chance for my use.
But, back to painted leather on the Genny? I think not.

I guess they found some beige cows for mine. No need to dye or paint the color on... :) was using the term loosely. The color is changed. And in these, only one side on many pieces have the colors added. No attacking going on. Mentioning a first hand experience with the stuff.

303 Aerospace or Zaino Leather in a Bottle

I also vote Zaino. My dad and brother and I have been using Leather in a Bottle for over 10 years. It works great and smells even better. I use it on all my interior plastics/panels since it protects against sun damage. No need for multiple products.
