  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Heading up to Penfield NY tomorrow morning. Because of all the construction on the roads, it will take me a lot longer to get there, compared to past years. I already know I will have long delays in both the Carolinas. I probably will not be on the site until after I arrive. I only use the computer from the road to check the weather ahead, and to check the road condition and delays ahead.

After I am in Penfield (Rochester area) for a few days, (family business), I will head to Lake George to take in a few days at Americade (Motorcycle Touring Rally). Don't know when I will return to Florida, however:::::

I will report my gas milages on the road, just as I did when I went to Phoenix a few weeks ago. (Overall average for that trip was 27.48mpg with a high of 31.7 and low of 24.5)

Made it to Penfield. Average 28.0 mpg. (28.7 27.0 28.6 & 27.7)

Funny......I will be in Lake George as well. Golfing at the Sagamore, hopefully riding if the weather holds up and hanging out at Duffy's at night. Just the boys. Hope to see you there!

On Tuesday only, I will be sitting in a blue fold up chair, on Canada Street, in front of the House of Horrors, (where Frankenstein stands). Right across the street from the Village Mall. My Genesis will be parked on the side street, just North of where I will be sitting, usually parked next to the small arcade.

Look for the old guy in that chair, watching all the bikes.

Spent Tuesday and Wednesday in Lake George. Attendance at Americade is way down. Lots of parking available which in past years was unheard of.

Yama1yzf. I was in front of the "House of Frankenstein" on Tuesday, in the blue chair, from 10am until 4pm. (On Wednesday, I did other things).

Driving around Rochester, I only got gas twice. Average was 20.75 (19.7 & 21.8) I think it is good in the Rochester area because of all the expressway driving around the city. I get better there than I get in the Central Florida area (around 17 to 18 mpg), however I have to drive around farther on expressways in Rochester to do the things I want to do.

From Penfield (where I filled up) to Lake George, then down to Florida, I again averaged 28.0 mpg (with a high of 30.5 and a low of 26.3).

I did have the automatic seat stop working one day, but it then started working a little later. (I posted this "glitch" in another thread).

My little "pre (air) filter" that I placed in front of the air intake, above the radiator worked great as it caught all the white stuff that comes off the "Cotton Wood Trees" in the Rochester area. I could scrape that "cotton" off the pre-filter with my finger nail. Sometime this week, I will remove it, clean it, then replace it. As for now, I'm going to take the car to a car wash tomorrow, (if it does not rain) and get the car cleaned inside and out.

Finishing this thread here.

Did not get to lake george until 5:30pm but did pass by where you were....I was there all week and it got really busy Thursday-Sat. Perfect weather as well. The roads up there are just beautiful!
