  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Apologies if this has been mentioned in another post or thread already, but has anyone noticed a change in Level 2 charge rates and curve? In the first few months of ownership, my '23 Advanced would reliably charge at the max rate of ~11kW on my ChargePoint home charger, but more recently it will charge at that rate for only ~20 minutes usually. Normally not an issue at all as it's overnight, but occasionally I want to charge up a little faster midday if/when needed.

Has anyone else noticed this on their GV60? I've tried the typical things of double checking ChargePoint settings and have rebooted it a time or two, and no other changes I can think of.

That does seem odd.

I'm not seeing that. Here are my last charge profiles.

You might have the software fix that lowers the charge rate when it overheats. 48A 11kW charging overheats the charge port on many GV60/EV6/Ioniq 5s. There is a class action lawsuit for this.

The person above is charging at 40A 9.6 kW, which is also what I charge at.

Thanks for pointing that out, Grayson - that absolutely tracks. I'll lower my current limit to 40A on my charger and see if that solves it for now, or at least gives me 9.6kW consistently throughout a session. This feels like something they could probably adjust in software later still to be a little more granular with the rate and temp variability. The ambient temps don't seem to be a factor for me as possibly suggested on that class action page - many of those charging sessions for me were late night, around freezing temps outside.

Thanks all!

Quick update on my end - changing the current limit on my ChargePoint to 40 I got a consistent/non-throttled session. Reading through some other threads both here and on the IONIQ subreddits it seems like this is indicative of an issue that does get worse and not better over time. Hopefully the new recall announced in Korea makes its way here and can address the root cause related to the onboard chargers and ICCUs.

On a somewhat similar note…
Can anyone confirm whether their charge cable lock actually works?
I have the car set to “Always” lock, however, it never does so. The car is currently locked and charging, but anyone could walk up at this moment and easily pull the cable out.

Mine definitely does - it has tripped up both me and my wife having to remember to unlock the car first.

Can confirm mine locks too. The button will not depress when the doors are locked.

Mine locks. Have tried to pull out many times but had to unlock the door to stop charging before I could pull it out.

The issue was with the chargers I was using. I suspected this might have been the case, so I plugged into a public charger on the way home today to test, and it locked as it should have.
Maybe this shouldn't have been a surprise to me, but there seem to be different types of charging handles - those built for public use lock; and the ones used on the charger at home and the office parkade don't.

Today my charge dropped from 9 to 5 - this was after a few weeks ago forcing my charger limit to 40A down from 48A. Going to try scheduling the ICCU recall service this week and hope that might address this.
