  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

How do I determine which Lexicon amp I have (96370-B1050 or 96370-B1100 without tearing into my trunk lining? Is the Lexicon amp separate from the XM radio? I have hardly any am/fm reception but great XM reception and sound.

Your back window controls AM/FM.

How many speakers do you have?

There are 14 speakers. The problem is that reception is very poor unless I am very close to the broadcast antenna. Mostly just noise when trying to locate an FM station.

Yours will likely be the 1050 model amp. The amp has nothing to do regarding reception, though, that's run to a small module in the ceiling from the rear glass, then to the head unit in the dash. Your most likely culprit is the FM antenna trace is broken either in the glass, or at the edge where it connects to the receiver module. You've got an AM loop and an FM open antenna in the top part of the rear glass.

Also, applying or removing window tint can easily damage them.

Thanks for this info. It sounds like a difficult and tedious fix. Think I will try fit an aftermarket window glass antenna and lead (with adapter to the radio if need). I think I can reasonably make the antenna not easy to see. Crutchfield seems to have what might work for this fix.
