  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My 2013 Genesis with the technology package has an issue with the Lexicon stereo cutting out. The intro screen appears and then the navigation screen displays. Sometime it happens several times a minute and it might not happen for weeks??? I know the stereo system is only a 3 year warranty item. My Genesis has 57000 miles and runs great with no other issues has anybody else experienced this glitch.

There is a known issue with the 2009-2011 Tech trim 17-speaker Lexicon amplifier. It would sometimes go mute ... aka the "silent amp bug." Happened to me less than a half-dozen times in the 4 years I owned the 2009. The system was updated (downgraded IMO) in the 2012 model year refresh. My 2012 has done it twice in 6 years.

I believe it to be a false-positive-short on boot up self-test. Shutting off the car 30+ minutes (slow drain of power from the caps in the amp) or pulling the negative battery cable will reset it. There is no fix AFAIK.

I'm grateful for this feedback I will try pulling the neg batt cable to see any results..
