  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've been searching around for DVD-Audio Discs and procrastinating about purchasing as some are pretty spendy.
My first 2 discs came today, Rush's 2112 and Fleetwood Mac's BBC sessions, (when they played blues/rock,w Peter Green).
All I can say is..WOW!! 2112 is better than I hoped it would be! Fleetwood Mac is awesome as well. But Rush was a favorite of mine since I was 12.
Queen's Night at the Opera should be here within the next couple of days and I'm stoked! I've always been a huge Queen fan since they were the first major band I had seen live.
I'm officially a surround junkie now and I know that I'll be looking for reasons to go driving when I need my audio fix.
I sure would appreciate if you good folks would post up some of your favorites as I need to build up my library.

Nothing beats it, is there?

BTW you can also play regular Dolby surround DVDs concerts as well, you will not be able to see the video while transmission is not in park, but the surround sound just as great for those concerts that one can not get in DVD-A (if recorded properly)

I'll Probably go that route seeing as DVD videos go for a lot less than DVD-Audio discs these days.

Had to revive this pig of a thread. Because I want to get some suggestions on some DVD-Audio discs that you guys think sound great in 5.1.
I just got the Rush Moving Pictures DVD-A and scared the crap outta myself by the way I drove when Red Barchetta came on! I need to behave myself.
The surround sound is awesome! I've driven a lot of high end cars in my life and nothing comes even close to this system.
Discs that I have picked up are Queen's A Night at the Opera. Every song sounds awesome. and Fleetwood Mac Live at the BBC, (back when Peter Green was with them), and it's a bit boomy on the bass. But for an old live album it's great. Peter Green is a stellar blues guitarist. Rush, Moving Pictures and 2112. I'm a huge Rush fan and i've never heard these albums sound so good.

Currently have:

- Metallica - Black
- Fleetwood Mac - Rumors
- REM - The Best Of
