  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I very seldom take my car out at night, however yesterday I noticed that the foot well (areas where your feet rest) in the passenger side is lighted, but no light in the driver foot well.

1. Either there is no lamp in the driver side foot well, or
2. The driver side is not lighted.

Which is it?

If it should be lighted, I will get it replaced when I take it in for the first oil change.

It should be lit.

You can look up under there and see where the bulb should go. I can't imagine why one wouldn't be there. Have them replace it for sure. Cheers!

both sides are lit but are very dim. in the lighting forum there is a diy to change out the bulb so it is brighter

genesis@genesisworld did all the footwell work, I havent tackled that yet. Thats next on my list.

I double checked today, and sure enough, there IS a light there, (and yes, it is lighted), but it is so dim, as to be worthless.

I'm "too dam old" to be crawling under there, on my back, to get the lamp out and replace with a stronger lamp. That light (on the drivers side) does not mean that much to me, so I will probably just leave it as is, as I don't normally want dealer techs to screw things up. (The less I have dealer techs work on a car, the better I like it).

HA! I understand. I'm 56 with a back and shoulders that are 78. I found something very soft to kneel on outside the car and was able to twist my head around to easily see it (no comments please:)).
