  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

that brag about and taut street racing and speeding seems to me to be a prudent thing to do. If a forum allows posts about illegal and dangerous behavior, it condones it.

Just me. Responses to my comments about these issues have clearly pointed out that I am judgemental and trying to be controlling. Guilty as charged!

Illegal use of vehicles on public roads is a topic that should not be reported here as normal activity. What do y'all think?

To tell you the truth if you can’t handle the heat stay out of the kitchen.
If anyone on this sight gets hurt or dies because of some perceived challenge to speed or because of something they read here, it is due to their own stupidity and you can’t fix stupid.
But you can ignore it after you’ve made your objection known.

I like the heat. You can promote stupid.

Best part about these internet forums is that they are unbiased and ,other than language, uncensored. Always a diverse point of view. If I read a thread I don't like, I just don't go back to it anymore.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
This sounds suspiciously like the thought nazi is active again. If no one talks about it then it must not happen. If some one talks about it then everyone is compelled to create mayhem by acting it out. Get a life. The rest of us here can make our own decisions about how we act.

I'm not into censorship myself. And don't take this as "judgemental". Eat what you like...Burger King or McDonalds. I'm not going to stop reading these posts just cause I don't like what someone said. (hello...clicker on the t.v.?) But I will say that I hope, and pray, that my Wife or Child is not in the oncoming lane of one of our brethren testing his new tires on a straight piece of asphalt at 120mph...and messes up just two feet to the left! How will we feel when we read the post that says..."my wife died last night when a driver crossed the line and hit her head-on". Like the radio commercial says: "buzz driving is drunk driving". So telling a Judge that "I was just seeing what my new Genesis would do" won't bring her back.
"Do what you wanna do...as long as YOU are willing to pay the price and suffer the consequences".
Oh...and when you DO get ready to "heat up the kitchen", let me know...so I can get out.

If you see a post that you think is inappropriate for whatever reason, click the Report Post button, and I will take a look at it. Bragging about speeding doesn't really offend me (it may, however, be annoying). Trying to set up a meet to get a bunch of guys to go racing on a public road would be unacceptable.

Expressing disagreement with posts bragging about illegal and grossly irresponsible behavior isn't any more "thought nazism" than posts condemning the Arizona shootings would be.

This forum is private property. There is no reasonable expectation of free speech here - the owner's word is final, and we are fortunate that he is a benevolent dictator with a fairly loose rein. The subject of whether or not he allows posts recounting illegal activity has come up before. He does, to a degree. He seems to have carefully considered the issue and arrived at a reasoned decision that simply allowing the re-telling of illegal activity does not constitute endoursement of the activity. On a privately owned message board, that pretty much ends the discussion. It seems the moderator for this particular sub-fora has the same understanding of the approach the owner wishes to take. In light of this, calls to ban such discussions seem to be a waste of time.

On the other hand, no member that engages in dangerous illegal activity has a reasonable expectation to escape censure from his fellow posters.

Ok guys, this thread was way out of control. I've nuked a bunch of your comments. I responded to the OPs question. If you have issue with this site's policies, PM me or the admin. If you see a post that is promoting illegal activity, report it; both me and the admin will get notified of all reported posts.

Nice to see someone here has common sense, it's not common anymore!
