  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I rather not mention the name but my local Hyundai shop has been nice to deal with for the most part, and they are a combo Hyundai/Genesis shop.

Yesterday I went to their website to check if they have their usual "coupon" for their oil change service. They didn't but I figured they stay on par with the other Hyundai dealer.

Since I'm needing the service I clicked on the "schedule service" and put in my info (name/vin# etc) and it gave me the option to drop off or have the car picked up. Since I'm at work during the day I picked morning pick up. I got a text and email confirmation confirming things so all seemed fine.

But as the day rolled on I realized nobody has called me and nobody has come to the office to get the car. Waa Waaaa

So I called this morning to inquire if my appointment would be today instead? Service guy seemed befuddled about things. He looked me up and said he found the appointment but noted that the valet is only offered for 3/36,000 miles. I told him if it's an issue I had no issue stopping in on the weekend. He was very nice and since I'm a regular customer, he'd pick up with no issues. Well that was nice.

I did tell the service guy that it was his website that makes the offer to pick up and maybe they need IT to work on changing that and he agreed.

We'll see how it goes today. :)

Well even though we had some hiccups with the process. Car is back at work, cleaned and ready to go. I tipped the kid who dropped off for his troubles since I technically wasn't supposed to get valet service.

Service tech did tell me to contact him in the spring when temps warm to review the pano roof since I've had it in there twice to get lubed due to roof sticking when trying to open/close it. He says he can do a deeper diagnosis, may need some new parts. For today, they re-lubed it for winter.
