  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Not sure I am using the right description, trying to find the location of the computer that monitors, or
controls functions such as rear tail light out, cruse not working, etc.

The 2011 Equus we have is having some issues. A warning light saying the right rear tail light is
out, when it works fine, and when you set the cruse control, the dash lights come on saying the
cruse is working, when it is not.

Acts like some wire connections are dirty at the connector, but do no know where this control
module is.

We took to the dealer, but they said we need a new computer for $4,000.00. Not sure they really
know, get the idea they are guessing.

Answered my own question. Problem was bad wires. Turns out 3 years ago a squirrel got in the fender well, and chewed
up some wires. Took car to dealer, they repaired wires, but not good enough, some connections came loose, we had to
get in there and solder the wires, and all is good now.

good to hear you didn't have to shell out the 4k!
