Long tone on entry with FOB

Recently I am hearing a long tone when I enter and sit in my car. If I immediately lock the doors they automatically unlock. The key FOB is locking and unlocking the doors just fine. Any ideas why the car may not sense the key, but then allows the start of the car?

First off I like your User name, I am also 6' 6". You should stop licking the doors. I think you battery is getting weak

How long should the battery last. I just replaced them in July of last year.

Does it do the same thing with the other remote?

Sometimes the car thinks the key is still out of the car. It does it in both my Santa Fe and Genesis. I would step out of my vehicle and Jen get back in and it would do the long beeping telling me the fob is out side when it's not.

Did you replace both fob batteries?
Also do you keep your fob by itself or with other keys/objects?
