  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello, fellow Equus owners!

I'm going to look at a 2014 ULT tomorrow (Ontario, Canada) and was wondering if there's something I might benefit from
asking the dealer, granted they really won't know much about the person they got it from.

I have been doing a lot of research for the past year and coming from a Genesis sedan it seems like a natural progression.

The dealer (not a Hyundai dealer) has been around for 23 years and specializes in BMW & Mercedes and has good Google
reviews so hopefully it translates to a good experience.

Was there anything you wished you had asked, or received clarification on when you purchased yours?

We just drove to Montreal Quebec to pick up our 2014 Equus Ultimate a week ago. Awesome car with great features and value but we are 2 months from the end of the original car warranty so am pricing extending the warranty through our local Hyundai dealership. Based on prices of fixes, that seems like a wise investment. Close to $5000 when we asked in Montreal at the Hyundai dealership there. Our Sarnia dealership gave us a price of under $4000 for an additional 200,000 kilometers, no year limit. Our closest Genesis dealership would be in London ON so we may call them as well about options. We got no car background or service paperwork but this car is beautiful. Only issue we have had is the freezing rain and ice storm that had us abandon the car in a driveway this week while driving in Michigan...no snow tires yet. Hoped by mid March we could take the chance, boy was I wrong! Hope you were able to close the deal and get yourself that Ultimate.1848918490
