  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

This is from the storm on the East coast of the USA this weekend. I parked in one of the higher areas of the parking lot, so the water near my car was only a couple of inches at most. My tires took a nice long soak, but that was about it. Some areas of my community, especially near the lake, are over a foot deep.

It's still raining on-and-off where I am, but I think the worst is over. I hope no one else on here had significant damage.

Wow. I'd have been shittin bricks the whole time... you woulda likely found me out there putting the car up on jack stands if I couldn't find alternative higher ground to put it :)

Yep, figured you were in South Carolina. Heard it was like "65 billion gallons of water" feel during this storm.

We got 23.51 inches in my area. There are still a bunch of roads closed, and a few neighborhoods evacuated. They're saying that the areas near the rivers may still see more flooding as the rainwater from upstate flows downstream, but my neighborhood should be done.

I don't own four jackstands, otherwise I probably would have put it up. A couple of people drove up onto the walkways. They're saying that this is a thousand year flood, so I probably don't have to worry about something like this again.

I could see here in Jacksonville all that rain on the weather radar streaming by just off the coast, headed up your way. Just glad it wasn't me!
