  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm dealing with the 12V ports not working and was reading here about fuses. I opened the hood to look for the fuse box there and look what I found! I have an appointment with a dealership tomorrow to have it corrected. How do you think that got loose?

To change the air filter? wow, that's a weird design. Thanks for telling me what the heck is was!

DIY, the bolt is metric 8mm x 1.25 thread about 3/4" long with a 12 mm head. Go to a hardware store and spend less than $1.00 to get it.
Buy a 12 mm wrench and install, less than $20.00 to DIY.

The bar itself is really for suspension rigidity to keep the struts from pushing the unibody inwards on bumps. There's a matching bar system going to the firewall under those plastic rails that look like they seal the engine bay.

Someone probably forgot to tighten the bolt after changing the air filter; like mentioned above.

I would just buy a new bolt from the dealer to have a matching bolt.

I dropped one of the bolts when changing the air filters a couple months ago. It couldn't have gone far but it was lost.. I preferred a matching bolt as well. It was $1.37 at the dealer. Cheapest dealer part I ever bought!
