I've only had my G80 EV for about a year so I don't know if this is a widespread G80 problem or a general Genesis parking brake issue.
During the winter months, when I first pull my car out of the garage in the morning I would occasionally hear a loud pop from the rear brakes. It sounds very mechanical like the brakes are stuck on not releasing properly. Since it was cold I though that it was just some moisture that froze the pads to the rotors breaking free. The noise seemed to go away for the summer.
Now that we are into October and the overnight temperatures have dipped into the 50's the sound has returned. Its not nearly cold enough to freeze so that cannot be the issue. I had the dealer look ant the brakes and nothing seemed wrong to them.
Here is how it progresses. I start the car, shift to drive, release the brake pedal and POP as the car starts to move.
Is anyone else having this issue?
