I am suffering a low speed (<12 mph) hobble in my 2019 G80 Sport AWD. There is a loud clunk-clunk-clunk.
It drives butter smooth at 15+mph! To me it feels as if coming from the front of the car and feels like something binding up. The hobble intensifies when backing up with the wheels turned. It is very noticeable, clearly audible from the outside.
Usually the car is not complaining but once every blue moon the AWD warning light comes on with the following codes:
Genesis has been extremely unhelpful. They did swap the transfer case about a year ago at 57k miles. Then told me they cannot find anything wrong besides the very noticeable symptoms and procrastinated until the warranty expired. I had it at three transmission shops, all of which pointed at the rear differential depsite my protest about feeling it from the front. After a costly replacement of the rear differential nothing changed. I have changed the fluid in the front differential, it was reasonably clean and intact with only a minute amount of metal shavings were on the magnet.
I do not want to blindly shoot more parts at the problem and hope someone has an idea or suffered similar symptoms. Any advice is appreciated!
