  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Odd scenario (and full disclosure, did not consult the manual) - got a low tire pressure alert, first one ever, said the driver-side tires were at 29 and 30psi. I tested them all and filled them up to 35-36 per spec. Oddly, the car recognized the new values, but would not automatically clear the alarm. I rebooted the head-end, no change. I drove around the block (figureatively) and got it above 45 mph (there was a speed threshold in my old G35), no change. It _finally_ cleared on its own, when I was running and errand and had driven several miles, in a 35- and then 45-mph zone (so figure I did 50+). No indicator as to why it cleared then. Unexpected behavior unless I don't understand how this is supposed to work.

Probably would have cleared right away at 46 or 37. This is quite normal and I've seen it on a few cars. I always go a bit high and it clears in a short drive.

These are not precision instruments design for NASA moot shots.

Sometimes it just takes a while.

I did chk the mobile app, after the alarm did not clear - and it reported as tire pressure all normal. I did _not_ check it before add air so no idea if it ever mirrored the alarm, or not.

I generally overfill up to about 40 or higher because I find the warning light will shut off more quickly. Then I remove some air to get back to my desired pressure.

Always fill over 1psi or 2 psi recommended psi.
Then you must drive the vehicle for about 10 minutes in different speeds for it to fully read. Sometimes longer in cooler temps.

I always fill about 2 over even if the warning did not go off. It is not very noticeable and will go down to "recommended" over time and is that much longer before I have to add again.
