  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My lumbar support seems to disappear after driving the vehicle for a while. I am guessing when you shut off the car, it resets itself, but I noticed if I increase the amount of support and drive the car for a while, it sinks back to a position where there is very little support.

Does anybody else notice this happening? My only guess would be that it uses some type of air inflation and the air leaks out after a while. None of my other cars seem to work this way.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Check out the various seat settings - there are a couple automatic posture and massage settings that might be changing your seats behind the scenes.

When you say "a while", would that be around an hour? Here's a shot from the manual. Could this be it? View attachment 57726
That sounds like it, but I went through all the seat settings and there are no options like that text is showing. Maybe that is for the Sport models and I only have an Advanced?

I have exact same problem, I was searching for this issue and came across this post. I hope genesis can fix this by update. Let me know if anyone find solution

Yes, ergo motion is only available on higher level trims. I have noticed when it comes on, the lumbar support is digging into my back after it stops and I have to manually adjust it again. Definitely something a bit wonky there.

My biggest notice after the ergo motion is that it leaves the airbags inflated in the bottom of the seat, and it's HARD. I have to manually deflate those, or it's like sitting on a rock.

That said, if I don't activate ergo motion (and I don't use the smart posture stuff), my lumbar remains inflated, even after turning off the car and coming back. It sounds like there might be a small leak that the other two posters are experiencing. I had that problem with an older car, but it was far out of warranty, so I just lived with it. In the case of the GV70, that sounds like a warranty issue.

I believe I'm having the same issue on my 2024 GV80. Have to re'inflate' the lumbar every time I get in.
