  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

One of my favorite features on the many VWs that my wife and I have owned is the 'automatic' opening and closing of the windows using the driver's side door lock.
It's great to open all four widows before entering the car on a summer day. Likewise, it's a great feature when you realize that one of your children has left their window open as you all leave the car. Much easier than getting back into the car, starting the engine and rolling up the window!
Any idea why the Genesis doesn't possess such a feature?

My Lexus did the same and sunroof thru the key fob. It also opened the sunroof. I believe it was a 1998 LS model Lexus.

Nice to see VW copying others.

BMWs have had that feature (via the key fob) for many years. Perhaps Lexus copied it from the Germans.

I, too, have wondered why HMA hasn't added this feature to the Genesis, although I must admit I rarely used it with my BMWs, thus it's low on my list of enhancements I'd like to see.

Our 2004 Acura did the same thing with the key fob.

Maybe it rains so much in Korea that they didn't want it? I wish I had it here in the oven of Texas.

Cost savings. It's simply business.
