  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I did the $25 map update on my 2015 5.0 Ultimate. It worked fine, except I immediately got an email from Hyundai with my monthly "Vehicle Report" saying "Maintenance is due" on my car. Nowhere does it specify WHAT maintenance is required! It encourages me to contact my dealer to make an appointment.

As far as I know I have religiously complied with all maintenance requirements listed in the owners manual.

Has anyone else seen this message and know why it pops up?

I got the same. The message has popped up twice now, and I got one email and notification from the Genesis app that I was due for service. Assume it's just a fluke...

Probably reset the counter in the car. Go reset it manually.

Today I got a message in the car that service was required and press the Blue Link to schedule service (no indication WHAT service), and when I got home I had an email saying that service was due since the mileage had reached 54,0000 miles. There is NO reference in the owners manual to any maintenance due at 54,000 miles. Has anyone else seen this??

It's a bluelink service indicator. Otherwise known as a scam/joke/annoyance. It doesn't follow any service interval for the car and only serves to send you back to the dealer. If you call Bluelink they can remove the service notification from your account. It can be triggered by legit service indicators on the car, but it's also triggered at random by the Bluelink cloud servers.

Thanks. Please don't take this wrong, but how do you know it's also "triggered at random by Bluelink cloud servers"? Just curious. Cheers.

Bluelink support has acknowledged that their system will "misinterpret telemetry from the car, erroneously setting the service now indicators"

I don't know how the upgrade affects it, since at most it just reconnects the radio to the bluelink module after rebooting.
