  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi I just bought a 2012 Genesis 3.8 with a muffler delete so need to get a new one installed and am wondering if there's anything better than the stock part (unrestricted flow / performance is not a consideration for me, I just want quiet)

Also I need new tires and am thinking Cooper cs5 ultra touring would be good for a softer + quieter ride, for the money esp. Any considerations regarding size?

Thank you, I'm new to cars generally and excited to learn from you all how to best maximize this vehicle.

Hey did you figure anything out? I'm in a similar situation with an aftermarket exhaust on my 2012 4.6L. Not even sure where to buy an OEM part/exhaust.

I bought used stock muffler and resonator off ebay. When I brought my 2012 model to the mechanic, he said only very short mufflers would fit (under 11 inches) due to the small specialized cavity for them.

Maybe people here know of specific aftermarket mufflers that work with the car, but I couldn't find anything.

Best of luck!
