manual that clunky?

is the manual that clunky to drive? pretty much every review talks about how the engagement point is vague and the rev hang makes it slow to shift. don't care about the speed differential with the 3.3 if its at least fun to shift. but the reviews make it seem like it's not really fun to shift.

there's a few threads up in the tech section and reviews that talk about the 6MT. you'll need to test one for yourself since driving a manual is much more 'personal' than a slushbox. in short, no - the manual is not overly clunky. i'd say it is average for all the manual cars i've owned. better than the G35 and G37 and VW gear boxes, but worse than the hondas and mazdas. the G70 box is fine, and not once have i had an issue with shifts or notchiness. my wife has no issue driving it either, she says it is much easier than the G37S box.

the biggest issue for 6MT drive-ability is the odd power dip upon launch just off idle after engaging the clutch. Sport mode mostly avoids it, eco is not terrible, but avoid comfort mode at all costs.

Yea I saw that thread. That power dip sounds super obnoxious. Kind of reminds me of the audi S5. It had a weird rev blip on first gear and then dropped, so dumb. Some anti stall feature on takeoff made me stall when the power dropped.
